We have had Arnold’s Masonry rebuild two brick chimneys and repair the brick siding. They matched the bricks almost perfectly. Their workmanship was flawless. The workers where extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and they completed the job in very timely manner. After 17 years, hour chimneys remain in perfect condition. After over twenty years in our house, the state of the small retaining wall on the driveway had degraded to the point that it was more a rubble pile than a wall. It was likely originally built hurriedly, and incorrectly, in the effort to quickly sell the “spec” house.
While I had experience dealing with multiple housing contractors over the years, masonry was very new to me, so I did a quick search of masonry contractors in the area along with their credentials.
I selected three to send out e-mailed requests for quotes from. This included photos & detailed descriptions of scope of work.
One never responded at all, another responded “I’ll take a look at this” then never got back to me. Arnold did respond & we had a very good e-mail back & forth until he got a firm grasp of the project. I knew it was relatively small compared to a lot of others, so I expected it might be passed over.
Arnold stopped by to talk with me about the wall upgrade and was completely honest about costs. I had concerns over water drainage, and he described what he would do to provide for this.
We agreed on pricing (which I felt was very reasonable) & Arnold set a date to both begin & end the project (2 days).
Weather dictates these schedules of course, so I was surprised that Arnold was able to start only three days after his original projection. And then he had completed the work within the 2-day estimate!
Both my wife and I are extremely happy with the work that Arnold, his dad, and his helper did to remove the old wall, prepare a foundation, and install a new colonial fieldstone wall. Plus, I got to keep the old stones for my own various projects!

Arnold’s Masonry did an excellent job with our backyard project. They were prompt, efficient and detailed. The work was done when we were told it would be done with the level of care and attention we wanted. We are beyond happy with the final product! The major thing that stood out to us was the time and energy the crew put in on the final day of the project to do the little things that went above and beyond our expectations. The detail of the job, the flexibility to consult with us on small changes while providing their expertise and the final product would 100% have us recommend Arnold’s Masonry.

I had Arnold Masonry over to install a gravel pad for my Carefree shed. He was thoroughly professional in all aspects. Paid attention to details. He did all paper work as required by law. It's rare to find a mason to begin with, but finding one that provides exceptional customer service, quality and personality is almost a thing of the past. I've dealt with plenty of contractors where I felt like they were doing me a favor by overcharging on a job because they've been one of the go-to biz's for awhile and the price of the job was different because of the town you lived in. Not everyone mind you but enough to notice when someones isn't that way. Arnold's Masonry is easy to recommend if you're looking for competitive cost with quality to match.

Arnold is a skilled craftsman with an attention to detail that most do not afford their customer’s in this day and age. He took my very undeveloped concept of new stairs to my back yard and made them look perfectly suited for the house and existing stonework. In the front of the property.
Arnold ensures that your expectations are being met throughout the project. He provides quality feedback, asks questions and sends pictures when you are not onsite to confirm next steps. It feels more like a collaboration then a service by the time the work is completed.

I always had found it difficult to find a true craftsman especially a mason to maintain my rental properties. Ever since I found Arnold’s Masonry of Waterbury CT, which came recommended to me by a friend. It’s been more then a pleasure to work with Arnold, his father and the crew. They are very trustworthy people. Very prompt, their quality of work is second to none. This is my one stop shop company when it comes to masonry needs. I have been using them for little over 10 years now and will always keep using them. I would highly recommend. They always work with my budget and find me the best solution. I would not hesitate to ask them to negotiate, if working in a limited budget for a project.

We saw his sign in front of a house up the street. We liked the job he did there, so asked him to look at the area where we needed our front sidewalk replaced. We were able to come to a quick agreement and he got the job started shortly afterward. We are thrilled with the job he did-it’s absolutely gorgeous!! I recently contracted with Arnold’s Masonry to repoint some brick steps. I thoroughly enjoyed our association. Arnold was very professional, prompt, and timely. He was very patient in answering my novice questions. The entire project moved along very quickly and took only about three weeks from my initial contact to completion.
